Hi Kevin and stacey Kaithlyn is a beautiful girl, I am so happy for you both. You take me back 30 yrs to when We picked up Sarah from Newfoundland. with a lovely baby who made strange all the way home on the plane etc. Yes it is worse than labour pains !!!! but just as rewarding when you get home and things settle down. Things went fine until teenage years and I recently told Cheryl ( Sarah's biological mother) if I had her address sooner I would have shipped her back. but not really. It's all in Gods work, Love Geoff and Jenn
What a beautiful smile! Just warms your heart when you see that. Like you said earlier when you get that big smile you know that she loves you truly! She is just blossoming. She knows how much mom and dad love her. Take care and hopefully she is feeling better for the flight. Love to you all! Mom
This picture truly takes your breath away, how lucky this little girl is to have you as her parents, and what a story she will have to tell her friends. Back at the Moose Jaw Y, me and all the children in the childcare have been viewing the pictures daily and I have been reading your entries to them, We are all anxious to meet Kaitlyn upon your return. We are praying for a safe journey home and that Kaitlyn will be feeling better soon(especially since one of the children got out the doctor kit and is prepared to fix her up). Thanks for letting us share this journey with you, your pictures and stories are the hi-lite of our morning!
She is beautiful. I learned yesterday that Kaitlyn's chinese name, Shu, (pronounced Sue) means "clarity, purity, clearness". We were having Chinese food at a restaurant owned by Chinese friends and they were so pleased to hear about Kaitlyn and were happy they could share their language with us. See you 3 soon. C+C
We're glad that you are able to experience Kaitlyn's culture in China. The pictures are very cool. We all wish that we could be there with you.
Kaitlyn seems to be very grateful to have parents like you. It is obvious, because of how well she sleeps for you. It sounds like your dreams could not have come more true. We all pray that her adjustments continue to be positive on your plane ride home.
We miss you, oh so very much Stacey. And we can't wait to meet your new little girl.
I could only go on and on about how proud and happy we are for you.
Love always, your YMCA family
PS Kevin, you had many of us in tears during your version of day 2+3 :)
A long trip and stuffed ears. Could be owie! Having lived with Erika and a multitude of ear problems.... here is my advice.. If you can buy some Otrivin nose spray ( child strength ) and spray her nose just before take off... that would help her ears. If you have problems, airlines will give you two styrofoam cups, and hot washcloths.. put the washclothes in the stryrofoam cups and hold them over her ears... relief! if you cant get the nose spray try a little decongestant ( child type ) she is gorgeous and your blog makes my heart sing. Thank God for this wonderful gift . Daughters are precious.
Kevin & Stacey, After two years of hoping, praying, and preparing your daughter is finally in your arms! Words cannot express how truly happy I am for the two of you. Kaitly is truly fortunate to have the honor of being able to call you mom & dad. From the photos you have posted Kaitly looks like she is adjusting quite nicely. Kevin your updates bring a smile to my face and a tear to my eye. Looking forward to future updates. My prayers are with you always. Leanne
