Sausage and Blogs

I'm finding that I'm just a little hooked by the wonder of a blog. I was pretty skeptical when I started a few weeks ago, enticed more by the idea than by the discipline it would take to make something like this worth it. And yet here I am, a handful of postings later, absolutely captivated by something I still don't totally understand.

The fact that I can connect, albeit on a pretty impersonal level, with my friends that I usally only see on weekends (and sometimes not even then) adds a whole new dimension to our friendship. At the same time, I often feel like I'm caught smack in the middle of a sweet episode of Seinfeld ... there's nothing super-special happening but somehow I still find it interesting.

Like, I could tell you that tonight for dinner, I ate a hot dog, and a sausage that I BBQ'ed on the weekend that I would really like the opportunity to re-consider eating. You may not find that interesting and I don't think I do either. But it's my blog. I can write what I want. So there. Deal with it :)

Coach Sowden asked me if I'd coach with him in Caronport this season. That would be pretty sweet but I'm going to have to see if it'll fit into a new schedule with Kaitlyn on the way soon. Maybe we can work something out.

I'm going to try to re-paint my basement this weekend, the same basement that caused me a great deal of frustration the previous weekend because it turned out to be pretty lousy. We'll see how it goes.

Ya see, those last two paragraphs likely have no impact on you at all. You'll probably forget all about them when you leave this webpage ... but I can write it. Why? Because this is my blog. I can write what I want. So there. Deal with it :) This blogging thing is awesome!

Time for me to go, if you know what I mean. I think I'm about to re-visit that sausage ...
