Watching Paint Dry

So I'm sitting here watching paint dry. Literally. No really, I mean it. I just put two coats of paint on the walls in my basement and I'm waiting for it to dry so I can "drag" another colour onto it. I would attempt to describe "dragging" (the painting technique, not other kinds of dragging...) but I'm not even sure what it is myself. I just know that it's supposed to look pretty sweet when I'm done. Here's hopin'. Once I'm finished, this will bring me one step closer to completing my basement shrine dedicated to the Toronto Maple Leafs. After all, they are God's team.

The majority of the basement will be some variation of blue and white with different Leafs paraphanalia decorating the walls. So I have to watch the paint dry for about 4 hours before I can keep going. I suppose some of my motivation for doing this now is the news that the NHL lockout could be over sometime in the coming week. Oddly enough, I haven't missed the game as much as I thought I might. Maybe I'm just used to it. At the same time, I'm looking forward to its return and to seeing how things will shake down in the league now that the richer teams can't go after ALL the big names. Plus, watching hockey is what my 32" TV was made for. It will be fulfilling its calling in a few short months.

Only 3 hours and 48 minutes until I get to drag ... the paint, I mean. You know what I mean.

I hope.
